Rats are really a pain in the ass. Eating and spoiling you foods, there are really annoying. Anyways, it's just best you get rid of them. These simple steps would be of much help to you.

1. Get a cat.

2. Find out where the rat lives and breeds (it's home).

3. Leave rat poisons or traps in their nest.

4. You should also consider using glue boards. You can get these in the market.

5. Get rid of things that'll attract rats in your home. Like your trash, food stuffs, snacks etc. Put them in places the rat can't reach.

6. Seal all the foods and beverages in your home.

7. Get rid of all possibilities of rats living in your home. You could do this by closing their holes and breeding grounds.

8. Close all the pipes and vents leading into your house. Rats can come in through this channel. Using bronze or steel wool is best.

9. Consider getting rat repellent products.

10. You could also employ a professional rat exterminator at a cost though.
